Thank you for supporting Indie Comedie.  Due to changes in vision and direction, Zakkiya, decided to leave Indie Comedie in July 2015.

Space Dot Comedy and Young In Prison

This month, Indie Comedie and Space.com at Joburg Theatre have decided to partner with Young in Prison to bring you a comedy show for the benefit of youth upliftment.

As part of the youth festival programme at Space.com, Joburg Theatre and celebration of Youth Day, Indie Comedie have decided to put together a stand up comedy show to assist Young in Prison, a charitable organisation that focuses on uplifting youth in conflict with law.

 

"Young in Prison South Africa (YiPSA) is a non-profit organisation that offers a holistic programme, which seeks to prepare children and youth in conflict with law in making the transition from incarceration back into society through imparting life skills for behaviour change, offering skills development for effective reintegration and reducing re-offending."  

"YiPSA uses a unique methodology of teaching life skills using creative and performing arts, sports and literacy. They offer services in correctional facilities, child and youth-care centres and communities in Cape Town and Johannesburg." - Young in Prison

We have put together a line up of amazing comedians who have devoted their time to assisting us in raising funds for Young in Prison.  So far 8 comics have signed up, with more to join the line up.  All profits will be donated to this charity.  Come laugh with us for a good cause!

Show is on Friday, 26 June at Joburg Theatre.

Comedy Olympics - 1 April - at Bean Republic!

The second edition of Comedy Olympics is set to happen on 1 April at Bean Republic.  Join us for comedy, coffee and cup cakes and watch up coming and established comedians battle it out with 5 minute sets!  Audience entry only R30!

Space Dot Comedy at Joburg Theatre on Friday!

HELLO JOBURG!

Space Dot Comedy is happening on Friday 27 March!  We will be performing stand up comedy and would love to see your faces!  

The show is in Joburg Theatre which is in the hip Braamfontein area of Joburg.  The theatre has safe parking, no cars will be harmed in the making of this show.  

Last month's show was the absolute best and we hope to see you on Friday!

Once again, we have an amazing line up.  The hilarious and energetic Hannes Brummer, the bubbly Karmen Naidoo and the witty one liner Yaaseen Barnes, hosted by the Model C educated, Athletic and Charmingly Funny: Eureka Nkese.  Also watch new comers Eric Jansen and Noko Moswete, about to make great breakthroughs in the comedy industry.
